For Business – Prognostics, Not Diagnostics!

EngineCAL’s patented ecosystem brings Automobile & OEM style engine analysis processes to the Aftermarket for cutting-edge diagnostics to quantify the wear & the tear of an engine. By studying the engine parameters of an automobile, the accurate measure of the level of deterioration of the engine is now a reality. This deterioration has a bearing in fuel consumption, engine component life and the all-important, air quality. EngineCAL’s sophisticated prognostics caps tailpipe emissions and fuel consumption. Putting the results of these complex logs into a form which can be easily assimilated is the core function of the EngineInsight® concept.

EngineInsight® Prognostics Health Report

If evaluated solely with a test-drive, the car would have been quite likely given a good rating as the drive witnessed good engine performance and there were no apparent signs of issues in the engine bay. At least from the Turbocharger perspective a manual check would not have caught an issue unless an expert mechanic would have conducted it. An overboost issue has its tell-tale signs but only to an experienced technician. Infact, an amateur technician may deem this car excellent considering a turbo in its early stages of over-boost belies the creeping-in axial play with more than good WOT boost performance. EngineInsight® further caught a possible partially clogged pneumatic EGR valve and accordingly recommended certain remedial action.

Real-World Results with EngineInsight®

Image
  • A customer visits a car service center complaining of poor performance.
  • The technician checks the ECU but finds no stored or current DTCs.
  • Despite that, the car clearly feels sluggish and underpowered.
  • The technician, already busy with other jobs, is concerned — no fault codes, but an evident issue.
Image
  • The technician uses EngineInsight®, an AI-powered diagnostic tool.
  • It quickly analyzes data from the vehicle through a smartphone/tablet app.
  • The AI identifies a drop in performance, quantifying it precisely.
  • It distinguishes turbo-related deterioration from other overlapping causes like weak compression or rough idle.
Image
  • EngineInsight®’s analysis and AI-generated comments confirm a turbocharger issue.
  • The technician now has clear evidence — no guesswork, no wasted time.
  • The customer easily understands the explanation through the visual report.
Image
  • After the turbo repair, the technician uses EngineInsight® once again to validate the vehicle’s performance.
  • The new report clearly shows restored engine power, healthy boost pressure, and a noticeable improvement in the before-and-after metrics displayed on the AI dashboard.
  • Behind this precise validation lies EngineCAL’s deeply engineered AI, built with an expert understanding of modern and continuously evolving powertrains. EngineInsight® keeps learning from global vehicle data, adapting to new technologies and real-world conditions.
  • It goes beyond diagnostics — it provides real-time intelligence, helping the next generation of service centers deliver accurate, transparent, and fast vehicle health assessments.

The Process Of Generating An Engine Health Report

Take a look at the easy steps of generating a quick engine health report for any OBDII compliant car

Add a Car

Add the appropriate car to be tested.

Select the type of test

A full throttle test generates the most accurate Health Report.

Start Test

Once added, press Start to begin the test.

Establish Connection

Ensure ignition is ON and device is inserted properly.

Switch off all accessories

Preparation for idle test.

Crank Engine

Crank in neutral gear.

Full throttle conditions

Only start full throttle driving once engine warms up.

Post Drive Check

After the drive, pull over to the side of the road whenever possible.

Let the engine idle

Release pedal and clutch and let the engine idle without interruptions.

Evaluation Complete

All tests complete, please find the report in your mailbox.
